FAIR BEAUTIFUL 40/160, very young looking, modern, convent educated, graduate (MBA), innocent, divorcee, issueless Badaga girl, employed in MNC, very good family, seeks suitable broadminded well settled Hindu groom caste no bar. Box No. THE HINDU, Coimbatore.

This was one of the Hindu Classifieds ad which i recently saw in the net when i was searching abt marriage practices of Badagas.

Is this good for our culture? Please post your views.

What is wrong with it?

Finding an badaga groom for a divorced Badaga girl is very very difficult.

Vinu was asking wheather it is good for our culture?

In fact the marriage culture of ours was worst during the age of our grandfathers do you agree with me. Most of the grandfathers had more than one wife and more than one divorce in their lives.

Now our mariage culture has changed. So there is nothing wrong in the add given by a divorcee(badaga girl).

How are marriages generally fixed in our community? By word of mouth and references. This system may not really work well for a divorcee, especially if it is a girl. The Hindu ad may catch the attention of a broad minded Badaga guy. The girl is reaching out, we don't need to stop that. It's a private matter, I think we should not make it our business to judge.

dear members i don't think she is looking for badaga boy infact she is looking for somebody else( I mean non badagas) who have soft corner for the badaga girls.

if she is looking for b.boy she would not have gone to hindu matrimonial.

yes, this is not good for our culture.

Yes Dr. Iam also of your opinion. She knows its very well that how difficult is for her to search a badaga boy and hence the AD.

Rather than discussion about why she did that i think better will be to put more thoughts on HOW TO MAKE THIS WEBSITE ACCESSIBLE TO OUR PEOPLE

Nandhu, u may be right if the words "caste no bar" were misssssss..........Yes, i do agree with Dr. Sudhagar.

Senthil, even if it is difficult, it would be better if she (her family) seeks a guy through word of mouth or references as somebody quoted coz "ALREADY ODADHA KANNAADI, EANATHAA OTTICHILEYU HAA KODU KAALAANDHA KAALAGA HATTARA icon_sad.gif icon_sad.gif icon_sad.gif icon_sad.gif " So........... got it??

Hey scientist… don’t compare our WS with The Hindu/other magazines coz the former is as good as WC chat like…...an another kind of (modern or etc etc..) word of mouth, and our admin is acting as our “dhoddavakka” (indirectly) I believe. Got it icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif ???
