The story (or rather, the history) of our revered goddess HETHAI has always triggered a lot of interest and imagination. The so called 'mystery' further evokes curiosity as there are no authentic accounts. And to add to these, there are no photographs or pictures of Hethai.

Recently I came across a booklet of about 30 pages written some sixty/seventy years back by (Late) Mr.N.N.Pokka (Bogga?) Madha Gowder
(why do we always say 'Matha' instead of 'Madha'?) of Nadu Hatti on "History of Hethai' {Sri Hethaiammal Sarithiram} . This book in Tamil was published by Blue Mountain Press, Coonoor. It also gives some idea of "Badaga Origin".

Since I could not upload in badaga.com , I have attempted to reproduce the book in its original form in my website http://badaga.wordpress.com
