Hi

In badaga tradition goddess EETHAI's are considered too much of importance .

this is very clear from lot of hatties worshiping goddess.

But still some hatties like THANGADU( from where i hail ) do worship god

AYYA.

But i could not understand the in equality or impartial with the respect that makes the difference.

Any suggestions or comments on my views pls.......

Hi Vijoy!
I believe that I can make you clear at least to some extent, but I don’t want to do the same through this site. Although this site is exclusively for us, this topic may end up with some unfair scenes if I explain in detail. For ur kind info, it had happened (xxx things…unacceptable one indeed) between the people of two hattys a couple of years ago.
Well, I shall discuss with u regarding the same if time permits us...... icon_smile.gif .

Folks,

If you come across any literary work on Badagas, you would not miss one major finding that is, Badaga women are really intelligent, hardworking and independent.
Here are some instances:
1. Badaga women work equally(or even more) to thier counter part to support and maintain thier family from tilting the soil to grazing the cattle and maintaining the household.
2. The adapted themselves to every new development easily be it british education or family planning.
3. They are ready to divorce and remarry if that is going to help theirs and their kids future.
So they really deserve a huge appreciation and above all who's behind thier strength - AYYA's. So give them also a big hand.

Raj
